When we started TAKE in 2001, as a product company, we knew we were treading a path unexplored by many in the Indian market. In addition to this, we were born when the dotcom bust was in full swing. There was gloom everywhere. People wondered, 'A product company from India? No way!' The belief was on off shoring and staffing. People suggested there were millions to be made in this. But we had a dream beyond this, to be a different company. We were looking at a non-linear growth model that would set a trend in India. A revenue model that leveraged the Indian advantage to create IPRs (Intellectual property rights) that translate to faster growth, higher margins and efficient delivery models Microsoft MCTS Training.

Today we are a CMMI (capability maturity model integration) level 5 company with a global foot print of nine offices, a 700-strong multi-cultural work force and a revenue of $ 75 million.

The people who have best related to our model are other entrepreneurs and very close friends/family who have watched us care and feed TAKE over the past six years. The over-riding emotion that drove us was self-belief in our dream. We don't really know what else to do in both good times and bad, except continuing to build on our dream.

Our dream was to create a product company in India that would have a non-linear growth model - a dream to be the world leader in supply chain management and life sciences. We wanted to be a company that the budding entrepreneurs around the world and in Silicon Valley would like to emulate.

Long back, I came across this quote: 'A human mind cannot think of what it cannot achieve.' The inverse of that is - the human mind can only think of what it can achieve. This got engraved in my mind. You get addicted to dreaming and building things, not just for the financial rewards, but for the feeling you get when you see employees loving their jobs, or customers who are addicted to your products, or a world that 'in some small way' has one less problem, or one more smile. I think this explains why people like Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and Richard Branson keep showing up for work every day MCITP Certification.

I believe that there are no destinations for TAKE. Every dream achieved is just a big milestone on a long journey. And it hasn̢۪t changed our dream, except to make it bigger.
